Award-Winning Songwriter Releases Music Video for Cancer Awareness

Healing Using Music Foundation (HUM) is excited to announce the release of the ‘Rise Again’ music video by Michael Amadi, an award-winning songwriter hailing from London, England.

Earlier this year, HUM collaborated with Michael on a series of intimate performances for Canadian audiences, bringing an uplifting message of hope and encouragement to those struggling through hard times. During a special concert for children and families at the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver, Michael was inspired by the strength and resilience of Ruby Davidson, a 17-year-old cancer survivor. ‘Rise Again’ encouraged Ruby to keep persevering, “I almost cried because of how much the music was hitting me. It’s like he reached into my soul and picked out the song.”

‘Rise Again’ will be available on YouTube on December 14th and features a moving interview with Ruby, who sharesher perspective on illness and hope. The performance was filmed at St. Stephen’s Church in Canonbury, with a full gospel choir. Michael hopes to continue inspiring others through his music. “I think my video can inspire people – it’s important because it shares the strength of a 17-year-old in a difficult world. Ruby is an example of not losing hope.”
